Third Sunday In Ordinary Time

Getting ready for Kidz Club (Children’s Liturgy).

We are in the middle of preparing to launch/rebrand our Kidz Club (Children’s Liturgy) for 2021 and are calling for volunteers.  Our Kidz Club (Children’s Liturgy) will take place during the 9:30am Mass at Caloundra.  There will be a short meeting next Sunday (January 31st) after the 9:30am Mass for everyone interested in being involved in this important ministry.  If you would like more information please contact Fr Peter at the Parish Office  [email protected]

This Tuesday, January 26, is a public holiday as we mark Australia Day

This year, more than ever, it is important that we give thanks for the many blessings bestowed on us who are privileged to live in “the great south land of the Holy Spirit”.  On Tuesday there will be 9am Mass at Maleny and 9am Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary, Caloundra.  After the 9am Mass at Caloundra, everyone is invited to stay behind and enjoy a sausage sizzle and billy tea.  Don’t forget to book via the Eventbrite app on the parish webpage!

Baptism Preparation Evening for Infants

Those parents with new born babies wishing for them to be baptised are reminded of the preparation meeting which takes place at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Caloundra, on the first Thursday of every month beginning at 7pm. Our first Infant Baptism Preparation for the year will be held Thursday 4th February. At this short preparation meeting we outline some of the symbols used at the ceremony, answer any questions and confirm dates.

To book in for the preparation evening and to receive the necessary paperwork please contact the Parish Office on 5430 9390 or email [email protected]

Lent is only around the corner with Ash Wednesday falling on 17th February

One excellent way of making this year’s Lenten journey more meaningful, is through the Lenten Programme. For individuals who have participated in small discussion groups over the years, the Lenten programme has provided sustenance for their faith, nourishment for their Christian discipleship and encouragement for their mission of compassion in the world. This year’s theme is ‘It’s all about Hope’.  Books are $10 each

If you are interested in joining a group during Lent could you please call the Parish Office on 54309390 or email us by the 29th January; that will enable us to order resources and organise groups.

Name Badges

The parish is happy to subsidize name badges and if you would like us to order one for you simply print your name and identify your community on the outside of an envelope and enclose $5.  Please return the envelope to the Parish Office or put it on the collection plate and we will order your name badge for you.  Anyone who undertakes a ministry within the Parish should always wear a name badge.

Request to rent a car

If you have a spare car at home that is not being used and would be willing to rent it out until the end of February, please contact Shania Allen on 0435 306 216. Shania, who was on last year’s NET Team, is currently staying in Caloundra to assist with the youth of the parish until the end of Feb and is looking to rent a car. If you have one available or if you have any questions and would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact her on the number above. Thank you and God bless.
