Join the Parish Intercession (Prayer) Ministry Jan 29, 2021

Fourth Sunday In Ordinary Time

Friends, prayer brings us closer to God and unites us as a faith community. In his first letter to the Thessalonians, St Paul encourages us to “Rejoice always, pray continually,  [and] give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (5:16-18).

While our new website has been live for two weeks now, we’re still refining it and introducing new features and capabilities. Two of these features include forms where you can submit a prayer request or join the Intercession Ministry. Your prayer request will be passed on to the 53 parishioners who’re currently registered in our brand new Prayer Ministry to pray for your needs – which is the second feature.

A parish-based Prayer Ministry ensures that our eight different faith communities are united as the Body of Christ in prayer. As a parishioner – and even our many faithful friends outside the geographical boundaries of OLR Parish – you’re invited to become a part of  this new ministry. All you need to do is enter your details on the opt-in page and you’ll be sent a confirmation email which details what happens next.

We look forward to growing our team of intercessors and so unleash the power of prayer upon our parish. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the parish office. Peace be with you.
