Connectedness – Heal Country, heal our nation!
In recognition of NAIDOC WEEK, we welcome Dr Hope O’Chin to talk at the OLR Church to help us understand this theme. Aunty Hope, an elder of the First Nation Kabi Kabi people, has wide experience in health, education and the arts. A highly acclaimed artist herself, Aunty Hope will explore the themes of connectedness and spirituality. Friday 16 July 9.45 am. Cuppa 11.30 am. All welcome! More information next week. SAVE THE DATE!
The ladies lunch for July will be Friday 16th at 12 noon at Kings Beach Tavern. We need to know numbers. Please contact Deborah 0410531901 by Monday 12th July if you would like to attend.
Interested in becoming a Catholic?
Would you like to simply find out a bit more of what the Church believes? Struggling to find answers to some of the bigger questions of life? We will soon be beginning a new journey for those who are interested in finding out a bit more of what we believe as Catholics. We are about to start a new programme so if you would like to be involved or would like more information, please contact Fr Dang: [email protected]
Baptism Preparation Evening for Infants
Those parents with new born babies wishing for them to be baptised are reminded of the preparation meeting which takes place at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Caloundra, this Thursday 8th July, beginning at 7pm. At this short preparation meeting we outline some of the symbols used at the ceremony, answer any questions and confirm dates. To book in for the preparation evening and to receive the necessary paperwork please contact the Parish Office on 5430 9390 or email: [email protected]
Using the Qld QR Codes for Masses
How quickly our world can change! The sudden lockdown caused by Covid-19 is a not so subtle reminder that we should not take things for granted! We return to the one person every four square meters rule and are reminded about the social distancing and sanitizing guidelines while inside the church. Entry into the church is via the QR CODE or through EVENTBRITE only. A casualty of the restrictions is the hospitality that was planned for this weekend – we will postpone our post Mass gatherings to the first weekend of next month.
