Investing Two Hours into Your Faith Formation Jul 2, 2021

Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

On Saturday 17th July, 9.30am at OLR church, the Associate Director of Adult Formation at Evangelisation Brisbane,  Mr Shane Dwyer, will be with us to deliver a two-hour faith formation seminar. This is a valuable opportunity not to be missed because the consistent investment of time and effort in our faith development is an important and indispensable aspect of what it means to be Christian. Indeed, God “makes all things new” (Rev 21:5), and we participate in that newness when we renew our selves with learning opportunities and openness to change.

Shane has worked in the area of adult faith formation, spirituality, vocational and tertiary sector course provision, and resource development for the last thirty years. He was, until recently, the director of the National Centre for Evangelisation (an agency of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference) and is currently enjoying the new challenge as team leader for adult formation in the Archdiocese of Brisbane.

We will start by celebrating 9am Mass, with the seminar to commence shortly after the conclusion of Mass. Registration will be at the door for this event. We look forward to welcoming you to this wonderful opportunity.
