Christmas

All are Welcome

No matter who you are or where you are on your life’s journey, thank you for joining us this Christmas.  As we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child, all are welcome….and All means ALL!  May the peace and hope of what we celebrate together touch your life and the lives of those who are part of your journey!

COVID-19Updates

Aura Catholic Community

Did you know that we are creating a vibrant Catholic  community in the city of Aura? Our booming population offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to leave behind aspects of old Catholic culture which no longer serve us and create  something new which speaks to the needs of people today.

One of the key elements in this opportunity is the opening of a brand new P-12 Catholic school adjacent to Aura Central in January 2024.

Fr Joshua Whitehead has been appointed by the Archbishop of Brisbane to coordinate the mission in Aura and he  would  love  to  hear  from  you.  Indeed,  the most  fundamental  aspects  of  the mission right now is creating an up-to-date database of Catholics who already live in Aura. Fr Josh is seeking to begin a regular, inclusive communication with Aura residents which isn’t depended on whether someone is a regular Mass-goer or not.

While we can’t yet take enrolments for the new school, we will be accepting expressions of interest from January.

Please scan the adjacent QR code and enter your details for Fr Josh to be in contact with you. Peace and Christmas blessings.

Parish office Christmas closure

To take advantage of the post Christmas period and to allow our administrative staff some of their  annual leave, the Parish Office will be closed from 24th December, 12noon until 9am, 10th of January 2022. In case of a pastoral emergency you can always contact a priest through the parish emergency phone 0431099854. Over the next week please note the changes to our weekday Masses.

Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Sacramental Programme – 2022

Our Caloundra and Hinterland Community coordinates a family-centred, Parish-based Sacramental Programme for the Sacraments of Confirmation, First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation. Any Baptised Catholic child who is in Grade 3 or above is eligible to enrol in and celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation in term 2. There will be a compulsory Information & Enrolment Night at 5pm on Wednesday, 4th May next year for parents wishing to enrol their children for Confirmation. The    programme will run for 4 weeks and then on the 1st of June they will celebrate Confirmation. Any baptised child in Grade 4 or above who has made their Confirmation is eligible to participate in the First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation programme – we celebrate these Sacraments in the first school term. Please contact the Parish Office with your   details on [email protected]

Thank you

We have all had to adapt and change during these uncertain Covid days and we have all learnt new ways of doing old things!    Your Parish family is no different.  The collection plate is just one of many ways of supporting your parish today and during the New Year.  Without your support we cannot cover our debts nor can we put into action our Parish pastoral mission and ministry.   The QR code adjacent is just one convenient and easy way to financially support the Parish.  Whatever way you fulfil your pledge a grateful Parish says – thank you.
