First Holy Communion

Congratulations to the 70 young men and women of our community and their families who completed their journey of preparation that culminated with the celebration of their First Holy Communion last weekend.  As a Parish we also acknowledge and thank our Sacramental Team – Fr Ejikeme, Kelli Phillips, Donna Gordon & Justine Ashworth and the many parishioners who last week generously helped make the celebrations so memorable.

This weekend we join with the families of Tim Polon, Lucas & Michael Tellan, Olivia Kirkitscha & Cooper Sarsfield as they celebrate their first Holy Communion. We pray that we might continue to be a welcoming Parish Family that supports and encourages our younger parishioners along the journey of faith.

Before You Throw the First Stone!

Reconciliation and the celebration of God’s forgiveness should be part of every Catholic’s journey and could there be any better time to celebrate that forgiveness than leading up to Holy Week and our Easter ceremonies? All parishioners and friends are warmly invited to celebrate our Communal Rite of Reconciliation next Saturday morning (April 9th ), 9am at Our Lady of the Rosary church.    Invite your friends!

I Do – I Do – I Do – I Do – I Do

For more than 50 years, Worldwide Marriage Encounter has helped over 3.5 million couples in almost 100 countries unlock the power of their relationships with new ways to do the “I do.” The Marriage Encounter experience helps a couple listen, share, and connect more deeply. There’s no group discussion. It’s just about two people learning to be the best, most loving and thriving couple possible.   This weekend we welcome to our Parish Family Maria and David Murphy, who will briefly introduce Marriage Encounter and provide information about their next Marriage Encounter weekends for 2022. On the Coast they are having a live-out weekend: 1st-3rd July at Siena College, Sippy Downs – going home on the Friday and Saturday evenings or in Brisbane live-in weekends: Friday evening 13th May to Sunday afternoon 15th May and Friday evening 14th October to Sunday afternoon 16th October (including Mass) both at Santa Teresa, Ormiston.  For bookings/details contact Maria and David Murphy: 0481 307 821 [email protected]  Watch Archbishop Mark Coleridge’s support video    Or the website: for more information.
