On Wednesday afternoon, Fr Ejikeme joined in the fun of the P & F Colour Explosion OLR school fun run. The P & F is raising valuable funds to enable the school to continually make improvements such as soft fall paths to the playground. The colour suits you Fr Ejikeme!!
Kingdom 30+ Group
We would like to invite you to the first Kingdom 30+ event for people over 30 from all walks of life – parents, married, single. We hope for this to be the next stepping stone for people after the Young Adults group, where we can enjoy time together socially and create fellowship amongst this age group, once or twice a term.
Our first meet up will be at the Baringa Tavern on Friday 7 October at 6.30pm for dinner and drinks (there is no youth group at Unity College this week for those of you who have children who attend). Please RSVP to Laura McHugh on 0423 654927 or [email protected] by Monday 3rd October.
We look forward to seeing you there!

fellow human beings.” Pope Francis. Laudato Si’ – ON CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME #91
Young Men’s group
Friends, the Parish has recently formed a young men’s group. We have created a space in which men between 18-35 can enrich their social life by meeting like-minded men. It is also a chance for our young men to walk and grow together in their faith. The activities and programs of the group are limited by the imagination of its members: some will be purely social,
others a time for reflection or retreating. To the young men reading this: I encourage you to join! Tell us what we can do to enrich your life and faith! To parents and grandparents: encourage your young men join! Parents, if you wish, put us in
contact with your sons in year 12 and we will get in contact with them once they have graduated.
The Young Men’s Group (18-35s) will be gathering at Mets on Kings at 6.00pm on the 29 of September. If you are a young man or know a young man who is looking to connect with like-minded men for social or faith events, please email me directly at [email protected] Regards, Fr. Francis

OLR Parish Summit 2022
Friends, over the last few weeks you may have heard Fr Josh preaching about the process which we, as a parish, are entering into – the creation of a 5 year strategic plan. While much of the work will be carried out by small groups of parishioners, the most important aspect of the process is a Parish Summit Event. This event will take place on Saturday 5 November at Unity College auditorium (times to be announced). It provides an opportunity for the entire parish community to come together in order to share and dream about what our parish will look like in the future.
The summit allows a space where people can not only have their say, but also be listened to and take part in the process of creating a something exciting which will inform our efforts to become a parish where all –especially those who are missing from the pews – feel welcome and belong.
Grief Support
If you are experiencing grief through the loss of a loved one, a broken relationship or a major life change of any kind, and you feel that the Grief Support team can be of assistance to you or a family member, please contact the parish office with your details so a support person can contact you. All contact is treated with utmost confidentiality.
Ministry to the sick
‘Truly I tell you, Jesus said, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matt. 25:40)
The parish is in need of volunteers to take communion to the sick and elderly. We will provide you with the necessary training and knowledge to perform your ministry with excellence. I am confident of your generosity towards those who cannot join us in our gatherings and in worship. If you are able to give of your time and presence, please contact the parish office on 5430 9390 or email [email protected]
