Into His Likeness

Into His Likeness is a six-part, one-session per week course during the Lenten Season, where we examine the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, which will challenge us in our response to walking in His footsteps.

‘Into His Likeness’ course are at four venues:

  1. Parish Centre(Dobson Rm) Commencing Ash Wednesday, 22 February, 10:00-11:30am for men’s group members and their wives.
  2. Parish Centre (Dobson Rm) Commencing Ash Wednesday, 22 February, 7pm- 8:30pm. Open to everyone.
  3. Kawana: Commencing morning Thursday, 23 February, 8:00-9:30am at Kawana’s Good Shepherd Centre (opposite Library/Centrelink, Nanyima Street, Buddina). Open to everyone.
  4. Landsborough: (Proposed) Commencing Ash Wednesday, 22 February,1:30-3:00pm. Ron Hickey Centre-next door to Church. Open to everyone.

Course format consists of a weekly 30 minute presentation by Dr Edward Sri, a renowned Catholic theologian, author & conference speaker, following which we discuss the issues raised and how we could apply them to our own life in response to God’s calling.

The course has no written assignments, no right or wrong answers, but you are expected to reflect upon the questions raised in your associated Study Guide during the week and, if willing, share your reflections within the group the following week. The program becomes similar to a 6wk home retreat prior to Easter, and encourages opening yourself to the Holy Spirit to speak to you regarding your calling to follow Jesus more wholeheartedly.

While the course is free, a $15 donation is asked to offset costs to the already subsidised essential study guide. Only one study guide needed per couple. Please register by emailing John stating your name and group you wish to register for. For further enquires call John 0416 154 144.  Group numbers are limited and early registration would be helpful.
