May Mass Count

In May each year the Australian Catholic Church conducts a National Count of attendance at weekend Mass. This count is conducted over the month of May and an average attendance at each Mass time calculated and reported to our Archdiocese. Below is a table of Mass counts for our Parish and a five-year comparison.

Average Weekend Mass Attendance

Holy Hour – Commencing Friday 6th June

Holy Hour is a chance to gather in Adoration in the presence of our God in the Blessed Sacrament. It is an opportunity to experience the presence of our creator, to meditate in awe and give thanks for the saving suffering of Jesus and experience the presence of the advocate Holy Spirit. It is an opportunity to bring all ourselves to God Himself. Holy Hour will be followed by Lectio Divina on the Scripture of the following Sunday.

Time: Fridays 3-4pm Holy Hour followed by 4pm-4:30pm Lectio Divina

Location: Sacred Heart Church, 45 Cedar St, Maleny

Confirmation – Friday 13th June

On Friday 13 June, 52 of our young parishioners will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at Our Lady of the Rosary Church. This is a joyful milestone, as they are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit and strengthened to live as faithful followers of Jesus, beautifully echoing what we celebrate this weekend at Pentecost.

We thank the Sacramental Team: Julie, Nadine, Donna, Amelia, JP, and Fr Gerard for their dedication and care in preparing the children for this special moment.

Please continue to pray for the Confirmation Candidates, their Sponsors and their families at this time.

A Year of Engagement

Lord God, I say yes to your will for me:

To live out my baptism in obedience to you.

As a member of our parish,

I commit myself to your mission of invitation:

To be vibrant like your Son, to extend myself in charity,

and to actively accompany people to encounter Jesus.

Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen
