National Reconciliation Week May 21, 2021

Pentecost Sunday

Do you know our OLR history? In view of the coming National Reconciliation Week (27 May -3 June), we recognise the work of three parishioners in what they did in 1997. This is a message from the current Sunshine Coast Reconciliation Group Incorporated flyer.
“SCRG was established in 1997 by 3 remarkable women – Dawn Wilson, Clare Devlin and Beryl Procopis, members of a social justice group within the Caloundra Catholic Church.”

Photo of Dawn Wilson, the only surviving member of the trio and currently at St Mary’s Aged Care, Pelican Waters.)

The SCRG became incorporated in 2017 and sponsors an annual Aunty Betty Memorial Reconciliation Walk to be held on 2 June at Buderim Forest Park, 10am -12pm.  Details of the event are below. Connect with our indigenous cultural heritage by music and dance. Morning tea provided.
