Last Saturday evening, ten Aura parishioners gathered for dinner at Catherine and Pat McGrath’s house in Baringa to discuss our new parish mission. This is the third time this growing group has gathered for food, prayer and discussion as we seek to forge new ways of doing mission and being a missionary parish in our community. While we will continue to meet monthly and come up with new and innovative ways of participating in the mission, our next step is to secure the lease on a building in Baringa to use as an operating base before the new P-12 Catholic school opens in January 2024. With 50,000 people moving into Aura before the end of the 2020’s, it’s utterly vital that we approach this new mission together with a sense of proactivity and urgency. Friends, this is an open space for anyone who would like to be involved in the mission of our church in an extraordinary way. Please contact Fr Josh directly for more information: [email protected]
