First Sunday of Advent
RCIA 2021
RCIA 2021

As volunteers on the team of RCIA Ministry, we are honoured to share about this ministry.

RCIA stands for Right of Christian Initiation for Adults and is a Ministry that shares the faith with those who seek to join our Church – becoming Catholic through Baptism, Confirmation and First Holy Communion.  This is a ministry that gives team members the joy of sharing their own faith experience with others: people who may be unchurched or come from another Christian Denomination. Our aim is to help people develop a deeper relationship with the Risen Christ and give them a taste of our Catholic values and ethos.

Even though the name of our Ministry includes the word Adults, it is not exclusively for Adults; we have the flexibility of tailoring programs suitable to younger participants over 14 years old when and if needed.  We were excited to welcome Bishop Brian Heenan to celebrate the initiation of our current group of candidates last weekend on the Feast of Christ the King.

It is a privilege to serve the community in this Ministry and we thank you for the opportunity.
