To the people of God of the parish of Our Lady of the Rosary Caloundra

After consultation, I have decided to make the following appointments to Our Lady of the Rosary parish, Caloundra.

Fr Joshua Whitehead will become Administrator, stepping up from his role as Associate Pastor.

Fr Peter Brannelly has been appointed Parish Priest of Stella Maris, Maroochydore and will remain as Dean of the North Coast Deanery, working closely with the Caloundra and Maroochydore parishes.

I have also appointed Fr Francis Fernandes Associate Pastor in Caloundra. Fr Francis was ordained a priest last year and has been serving as Associate Pastor at the Cathedral of St Stephen.

This weekend in Maroochydore, we are announcing that Fr William Aupito Iuliano will become Associate Pastor to Stella Maris parish.

The appointments will take effect from 6 August.

These are important announcements across the communities of Caloundra and Maroochydore.

They provide a dynamic team of priests to serve the parishes in a time of change. We will also create new lay leadership roles to work across both parishes.

I trust that these appointments will allow the parishes of Caloundra and Maroochydore to make best use of resources while ensuring that the communities retain their identity. Mass times will not change.
