Farewell Fr Peter

After 3.5 years of service, we are sad to farewell Fr Peter Brannelly from our parish at Our lady of the Rosary, Caloundra. Our loss is Maroochydore’s gain! Fr Peter Brannelly is the fourth serving administrator of the Our Lady of the Rosary parish, embracing the coastal and hinterland Catholic communities of Beerwah, Currimundi, Kawana, Landsborough, Little Mountain, Maleny and Unity at Caloundra West.

“I’ve been fortunate to work with so many talented people giving witness to Christ and dedicated to bringing people into a deeper relationship with Christ,” Fr Peter said. “It’s been a wonderful partnership and a real shared-ministry, some of my best decisions have been made when I shared them with the parish community here.

“Our Lady of the Rosary has a wonderful, rich history, and there are so many exciting opportunities to come including the Gala night, which I look forward to joining and celebrating with you  to commemorate our Golden anniversary. I’ve been fortunate to be part of the long history and story at Caloundra.”

However, it is Fr Joshua who says he has been the one blessed, being appointed as the next Parish administrator following a lasting legacy that Fr Peter has laid before him including establishing a vibrant and energetic community.

“I was very fortunate to succeed Fr Peter and have the joy of building on the strong foundations he has laid,” Fr Joshua said.

“I honestly believe I’ve received the best job in Australia, it is such a privilege to be the leader of this great community. Please join me in thanking Fr Peter and showing our appreciation for his commitment, ministry and involvement in the life of the local Parish community following 9.30am mass at Our Lady of the Rosary on Sunday.”

Godspeed Fr Peter!
