Local Heroes

Last week Unity College Principal, Daniel McShea (pictured far right), and other local members of the Metropolitan Caloundra Surf Life Saving Club, were joined at Parliament grounds in Canberra by the Hon Andrew Wallace (centre), Member for Fisher & OLR parishioner, to celebrate a well-deserved Surf Life Saving Australia Rescue Medal.

Congratulations to Thomas, Sam, Maggie, Daniel, James and Kenneth and all involved in this amazing feat! As a result of their outstanding efforts last January at Kings Beach, they saved the life of a surfer, who broke his neck in large swell.

Well done to our brave heroes!
