Parish Summit
Friends, please mark your diary for our Parish Summit Day on Saturday 5 November from 10.00am-3.00pm. In just over one month, we hope the entire parish will be gathering at Unity College for a Summit Day where we will do the most important work of the Strategic Planning Process: listening to your voices!
The Parish Summit is a key event for all people in and around our 8 worshipping communities in Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Parish to gather together to share and dream about what our parish could look like into the near future.
It’s a chance to explore what could be possible in each of the six ministry areas of the parish: Children & Families, Faith & Formation, Community Life, Youth & Young Adults, Service & Outreach and Worship.
After the Parish Summit, a Strategic Planning Day will be held later in the year where newly formed leadership teams will gather to discern the parish’s Vision, Mission and Values (having listened to all the voices shared at the Parish Summit and through the Dreaming Surveys), as well as outline each Ministry areas , outcomes and strategies for the next 5 years.
Our Parish Summit will be an event where we have the opportunity to listen to some inspirational speakers, have lots of conversation with one another, and to end with a time of prayer and reflection.
Our guest speakers on the day will be Deacon Peter Pellicaan PhD (Executive Director) and Teresa McGrath (Associate Director – Parish Leadership) from Evangelisation Brisbane.
We would love you to come along for the day!
The summit allows a space where people can not only have their say, but also be listened to and take part in the process of creating a something exciting which will inform our efforts to become a parish where all – especially those who are missing from the pews – feel welcome and belong.
Please register for this event via eventbrite which will take place on Saturday 5 November at Unity College auditorium from 10.00am – 3.00pm. It provides an opportunity for the entire parish community to come together in order to share and dream about what our parish will look like in the future.
