Meet Kathy Townsend

How long have you been a parishioner?

Since 1982 – more than 50 years!

Where is your place of worship?

8.00am Sunday Mass at the Good Shepherd Centre at Kawana.

What is your favourite prayer/devotion?

The Memorare – it makes me feel very close to Our Lady.

What is your most important practice in ‘living your faith’ as a disciple?

Making prayer part of my daily routine; and serving the vulnerable, poor and disadvantaged through the St Vincent de Paul Society, which I’ve been doing for about 12 years.

Would you like to share your experience of God’s love?

His presence in our lives! God’s love sustains me, and I am grateful for it.

What do you most enjoy about being a part of the parish community?

Our community spirit – our community here is like family!

Faithful Servants is a regular feature of the ever-present ‘servants of the faith’ across our local parish community.

Please email Bernadette Bain, if you would like to nominate someone for this feature.
