Welcome to another exciting year from the Children and Families Ministry Team.

We pray that 2024 will be a year filled with opportunities to connect, create, and cultivate relationships with children and their families in our Parish.

Children’s Liturgy: Today we recommence Children’s Liturgy of the Word at 9.30am Mass at OLR for Term One. Children’s liturgy is an opportunity where our trained educators explore the faith with your child at a level they can connect with and understand. Children are presented with the Gospel reading for that Sunday often via interactive multimedia, followed by related hands on activities and prayer. The children then re-join the congregation before the offertory. All primary school aged children are welcome to attend.

Sacramental Program:  The Parish Sacramental Program will recommence shortly with Confirmation beginning on Tuesday 23 April and First Holy Communion 16 July. More information and a sign-up link will be posted in the OLR & Unity schools and the Parish Newsletters in a few weeks.

Kid’s Corner:  We hope to make mass attendance a little easier for young families by creating a child friendly area at the back of the OLR church.
