Children & Families Ministry
We have a dream that our Children and Families Ministry will provide opportunities to connect, create and cultivate relationships with all children and their families. This ministry will seek to develop a culture of welcome from within the parish community, so that everyone feels they belong, however messy, noisy or lively.
Children’s Liturgy offers primary school aged children the opportunity to Encounter Jesus by unpacking the Gospel readings in a child friendly way by discussion, prayer games and craft. The children then return back to the Church to join the rest of the congregation in time for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. All primary school aged kids are welcome.
Children’s Liturgy at OLR will recommence this Sunday at 9.30am Mass and continues every Sunday throughout Term 3. Children’s Liturgy at Maleny continues each Sunday at 9am.
The Sacrament of First Holy Communion and Reconciliation will begin with a Parent Information night at OLR on Tuesday 16th July, 5pm. See the Parish website under Sacraments for more information. Please keep these children and their families in your prayers during this time. Look out for their photos that will be placed around the church.
