Youth & Young Adults
Kia Ora as you can tell by my greeting, I am a Kiwi, but my nationality is Samoan. My name is Christyna Malietoa-Brown. I was born in Christchurch but spent most of my life in Auckland. I am excited to say, I am the new Youth Minister. I have taken over and hope to help journey with the students to grow closer to God. A little more about me is that I am one of 12 siblings. I just moved over in November and have been in youth ministry for 4 years now. I worked in NZ as the Assistant Coordinator of Young Adult and Youth Ministry and hope to bring a bit of kiwi flavour to the role.
Last Friday Kingdom Youth started up again. I had been told just how amazing this youth group is, and how everyone gets into it and that the normal number of attendees is over 30. I was not disappointed as 45 young people came to Kingdom Youth at 6pm to Unity College ready and excited to be a part of a group that wants to grow in faith and friendship. This term’s theme is ‘Known’. We are all known by God and to do our part in learning about the church we are a part of. We started this journey with games, krispy kremes, slushies, praise and worship, talks and a chance to gather in small groups with others their age, to chat with each other about faith and their stories.
If you feel like you or want your child/children to also be part of a group where you have the freedom to share and enjoy your faith outside of school. Or want to meet others your age or even want to volunteer. I would be more than happy to hear from you.

Have a wonderful week, Christyna.
