Children and Families Ministry Update 

The Children and Families Team have had a wonderful start to the year – and we have so much more in stall for you all in the next few months!

On Saturday 22nd March we held a Junior Altar Servers Day. We had 10 children between Grades 4-8 come along to learn how to Altar Serve in our parish! Make sure to keep an eye out for them at OLR, Unity and Notre Dame Mass Centres over the next few months (and give them a high five after for doing a great job!). If you have a child who would be interested in learning to Altar Serve, please let us know – we may even hold a second training day this year!

Our fortnightly Mums & Bubs group has also been a massive success! If you are a mum with young children and would like to come along, please reach out to Amelia (wi******@**************et.au) for more information!

You may have noticed at our OLR and Notre Dame Mass Centres, we are beginning to develop and create a play corner for 0-2yr olds! Our hopes are that this space will create a welcoming and accessible environment for families with young children, making mass more enjoyable and accommodating! Keep an eye out for this space next time you come to a OLR or Notre Dame Mass!

Here are the rest of our upcoming events for Term 1 & Term 2:

Thursday 10th April, 9am-3pm (OLR Parish Centre): Encounter Kids Day (Targeted at those from Prep – Grade 6).

Tuesday 29th April & Tuesday 17th June, 4pm-5:30pm at Unity College Hall: Launch of our new Kingdom Kids Youth Group (Targeted at those in Grade 4-6).

Tuesday May 6th: Sacramental Program (for First Confirmation) commences.

Saturday 28th June: Family Fun Day (more details to come soon!)
