Changes to Music Ministry at Parish Masses
You may have noticed over the past 2 months that we’ve been introducing some contemporary music on the 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays at 9.30am OLR Mass, as well as every Sunday at our 5pm Unity Family Mass. We currently have a small repertoire of songs that people are starting to become familiar with but your patience is asked for and appreciated. It takes time to develop new music ministries but it’s something we can no longer neglect. Music is simply key for attracting younger people and families to our places of worship and while we’re blessed to have many loyal and faithful music ministers who give their time week in and week out, inviting new people and new music into our Sunday worship is a key strategy for growing our parish community. If you or someone you know would like to assist us with your musical ability (instruments or singing), please contact the parish office (Fr Josh) and we’ll be in touch.
From The Net Team
We are preparing for our last week of ministry before we leave for our midyear break. It has been a busy 5 months and the fruit of our labour is starting to ripen. We are seeing that a handful of students are becoming intrigued by our faith and we are hoping to continue to journey with them for the next half of the year. We have a lot of opportunities coming up for our young people to have an Encounter with Jesus, including Ignite Conference, a Deanery level youth rally and an overnight camp for our senior youth group (just to name a few). We are in continuous need of your prayerful support, because at the end of the day it is not through our strength that lives will be changed this year. Thank you for a wonderful 5 months, we’ve really felt at home in the parish. God Bless, Net Team

YOUNG ADULTS GROUP
Our first Young Adults meeting away from the NET house was held last Wednesday night in the Parish Centre. We had a lot of fun not only catching up with each other, but eating some fantastic Pad Thai made by our very own Verity. This week, we talked about saints – who they are, how they lived, and the brilliant stories they leave behind for us. (Have you ever heard of St Francis’ wolf Jas has, and it was an epic story to hear!) Next fortnight, our YAG group will be heading out for a social night of skating at the Rollerdrome! If you’re a young adult and you’d like to tag along, contact Kath Ball on 0418 187 914.

Keep us COVID compliant
The important thing is to be able to give to the health authorities an accurate electronic record of who attended Mass at a particular day and time if there was a Covid scare. You now have a choice! Either use the current Eventbrite registration via the parish webpage OR you can now use the QR Code. QR stands for quick response and information is stored within its maze-like lines that can be read by smartphones. The vast majority of us already know about QR codes because we need them to enter shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and check-in points at venues. They should be used when attending any parish meeting. They look a bit like barcodes made up of square-shaped patterns. It probably is the way of the future so we might as well get use to it!
