Thanking our Volunteers – National Volunteers Week 17-23 May May 14, 2021

Ascension Sunday

Next week (May 17-23) Australia will celebrate National Volunteer Week (NVW). Throughout all 95 parishes, and by virtue of its work with Centacare, our Archdiocese has one of the largest numbers of volunteer groups throughout the state—around 10,000 approximately.

As we enter NVW, the parish leadership team would like to recognise and celebrate the valuable contribution these volunteers make to keep wheels of our parish turning – both in the hinterland and coastal communities.

Thank you for your dedication to our mission of evangelisation – sharing the Good News with those who’re both inside our church buildings and perhaps more importantly, those who are or feel separated from the Body of Christ.

This year’s theme is apt in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic—”Recognise, Reconnect, Re-Imagine.” If you know someone who volunteers in our parish, please take the time to thank them for their dedication. If you would like to volunteer, please go to the parish website and register through the Volunteer Portal: https://caloundracatholicparish.net/volunteering/
