Ministry Vision
We have a dream that our Youth and Young Adult Ministry will provide young people with the opportunity to encounter Jesus through prayer, worship, the sacraments, and in one another, as we create safe spaces that cultivate friendship and connection.
Kingdom Youth is for high schoolers from Grades 7 – 12.
The group meets every Friday night during school terms from 6pm-8:30pm at Unity College.
These evenings are opportunities to hang out and explore the faith, share in a meal together, be led in praise and worship by our youth band, build friendships with likeminded people, and more.
Our youth nights are for all students within our Caloundra community, regardless of their faith background and school.

Perhaps more than anyone, young adults need others walking beside them as they navigate faith and life. Our young adults meet monthly in our parish to share life together.
Each day has a different focus, consisting of social events, testimony sharing and worship, as well as delving into various faith topics, and more.

Kingdom Youth has had such a great year so far! A huge thank you to everyone who volunteers – all our youth leaders, those who provide dinner, and our parents for bringing their children along. Let’s recap:
We have been journeying with the word SPIRIT and focusing on encounter this year. Below are the topics we have covered so far:
Term 1: The Spirit (Gifts & Fruits, Life in the Spirit)
Term 2: The Spirit Continued & Bible Series (Evidence of the Spirit, Pentecost, Abraham, Moses)
Term 3: Bible Series Continued (Gideon, Joshua, Esther, David)
In Term 4, we will be moving into a new series called “Living like Jesus.” We will cover the following:
11/10 – Water into Wine
18/10 – Holy Anger
25/10 – Sharing the Gospel
01/11 – Seniors Bowling Night (Yr 10 – 12) NO REGULAR YOUTH GROUP
08/11 – NO YOUTH GROUP (Unity Awards Night)
15/11 – Jesus & Temptation
22/11 – Encounter Night
29/11 – EOY Party w/ Laster Tag!
We have also had several Encounter Nights with Adoration and prayer teams, as well as social evenings at the movies, Rollerdrome, mini-Olympics, and our laser tag night is coming up at the end of this term.

Our sacramental program for teenagers begins on Friday 18 October. If your child is in Years 6 – 12 and would like to go through the process of receiving the sacraments of initiation, please contact Felicity or the parish office for more details.

Our young adult group now meets monthly for a special event. Join us for dinner together somewhere local before a night of input and prayer. All 18 – 35 welcome.
Our next YA event is Wednesday 30 October. Dinner at 6pm at Kings Beach Tavern, followed by a 7pm start in OLR Church. Fr Francis will be speaking to us about Acedia before a night of worship and Adoration. Keen to see you there!
