Welcome to the Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Parish of Caloundra. Our website will hopefully provide you with the information you seek as well as a broad overview of the many different ways we can both cultivate your faith and connect with you. We have a large number of faith communities that together form, Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, and we look forward to meeting you.

The Church can sometimes seem like an unchanging institution, expecting people to come to her rather than her members going out and striving to connect with others.

Therefore, we first seek to learn about your needs and desires. Our goal, first and foremost, is to listen to you. Through listening, we seek to discover ways to assist you – not seeking to change you – but to be what you need in a church; a church which seeks to be “all things for all people” (1 Cor 9:22).

We would ask if you are new to the parish that you call the parish office (5430 9390) so we can find out a little about you and how our parish can best meet your needs. If we miss you, one of our team will be in touch to welcome you to the parish.

As an outward-facing parish community, we use Alpha as our primary tool for connecting with those who may not feel connected with their faith or a faith community. Alpha is simply a meal, a movie and a discussion over a number of weeks and provides the opportunity and non-judgmental environment in which people are free to ask any question. For more information about Alpha, please email our co-ordinators, Jacinta Elks and Trisha Hyde - [email protected]

For many Catholics, the celebration of the Eucharist is the life that enables all ministry to occur, gives each community identity and brings us into communion. As we share in the celebration of the Eucharist - even online - may you be drawn deeper into the mystery of Christ among us and be more keenly aware of God’s great love for all people.

Our parish office is open from 9.00am-1.00pm Monday to Friday. We welcome your enquires. Please also feel free to leave a message on the answer phone (5430 9390) or email us and we'll be in touch - [email protected]
