Children & Families
We have a dream that our Children and Families ministry will provide opportunities to connect, create, and cultivate relationships with all children and their families. This ministry will seek to develop a culture of welcome from within the parish community, so that everyone feels they belong however messy, noisy, or lively.

Children's Liturgy
We understand that it can be difficult to get your children to Mass on a Sunday but we strive to make it easier for you by offering Children's Liturgy. Once you deem your child old enough, they are able to join trained, Blue Carded and Police Checked adults, along with other children in the Parish Centre for a child-friendly liturgy of the Word on Sundays 9:30am at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish.
We also hold Children's Liturgy once a fortnight at Sacred Heart Maleny, and once a month at Notre Dame Mass (held at Unity College Chapel), Saturdays at 5pm.

Encounter Day & Kingdom Kids Fun Day
Encounter Kids is a one-day school holiday program for primary-aged children.
Together with Evangelisation Brisbane, we host an Encounter Catholic Kids event, which inspires children with fun playground games and engaging craft activities as part of an immersive play experience designed to give kids the chance to encounter the Catholic faith and lead them to their best friendship yet with Jesus!

We also hold a Kingdom Kids Fun Day once a year. Our next Kingdom Kids Fun Day will be on Thursday 1st October 2026. Details to come.
Junior Altar Servers - Training Days
Calling all children interested in Altar serving in our Parish! These training days are for you!
Come along and learn about the Mass, and begin your journey as an Altar Server in this Parish. Junior Altar Servers are placed on a roster at their preferred Mass Centre, and will have plenty of support as they continue to learn and develop their skills! Altar Servers are encouraged to come back to our training days to help new Altar Servers and refresh their memory!
Our next Training Day will be in the second half of 2026. Date to be released soon!
Kingdom Kids - Monthly Youth Group
Kingdom Kids Youth Group is a new initiative in the parish, aimed at actively accompanying kids in Grades 3-6 to encounter Jesus in their lives.
The group meets once a month on Tuesdays during school terms from 4pm - 5:30pm at Unity College Chapel.
These evenings are opportunities to hang out and explore the faith in an accessible way, participate in games and activities, engage with input that helps build understanding of who Jesus is in their lives, and build friendships with likeminded kids in the parish.
Our youth nights are for all students within our Caloundra community, regardless of their faith background and school.

Family Fun Days
Family Fun Days are for all families of all ages within the Parish! These are days to come together, connect and build relationships with other like-minded people in the parish.

Mums & Bubs
Calling all Mums & Bubs within the parish!
Our Mums & Bubs group meets fortnightly: generally on the 2nd Monday and 4th Tuesday of the month. If you would like to come along, please click the button below to join the Facebook Page in which all communication occurs:

We also are introducing a Praise & Play session at Our Lady of the Rosary Church once a Term for those who want to come and explore faith with their little ones.
