Vision
We have a dream that our Faith and Formation ministry will guide and facilitate the development of faith and discipleship in all adult parishioners through providing opportunities for spiritual and prayerful accompaniment, catechesis, formation experiences, and open dialogue.
Having personal relationships with Jesus and each other through a better understanding of our Catholic faith.
OLR has a variety of new and exciting small groups people can participate in to deepen their faith through relationship with fellow parishoners. These include:
- Alpha:
Running in Caloundra, Aura and in the Hinterland (2 per year in each location)
- St Mark’s Gospel Bible Study:
Join Dr. Tim Gray in this powerful 14-part series to discover the Gospel of Mark like never before
- Local Parish Bible Study Groups:
We offer ongoing small group bible studies at Maleny, Landsborough and Caloundra.
- Parish Retreat 2023
To be held at St Mary MacKillop Centre at Beerwah
- OLR Parish Pilgrimage Comittee and Pilgriimage 2024
We are planning a Parish Pilgrimage to the Holy Land with Harvest Tours in September/October of 2024.

We have a pathway of events in faith education and exploration that support people to become disciples.
- Providing and enabling annual sacramental support (e.g. RCIA, marriage prep/marriage courses)
- Run a monthly Catholic book club by 2024
- Develop an apologetics study group by 2025
- Running annual bible study programs & catechesis events
- Access Evangelisation Brisbane theology / Adult Faith Formation opportunities

We promote quality faith education resources to support people to become disciples.
- Providing a newsletter update monthly alerting people to available resources
- A resource bank that is both tangible and virtual by 2025 including access to podcasts, Apps and Online web resources.

All people have the desire, knowledge and tools to make disciples
- Develop community teams to support the provision of adult faith formation opportunities locally by 2026
- Increase awareness of the benefits of spiritual direction, and develop a plan to have parish-based opportunities for Spiritual Direction by 2026
- As the leadership team, we will commit to personal discipleship formation annually
