Saint Vincent de Paul - Caloundra

St Vincent de Paul society works in our Parish, providing material assistance and companionship to those in need in our community. There has been a Vincentian presence in our area from before Our Lady of the Rosary Parish was formally established in 1972. The first conference in Caloundra was operating around 1966. The work of St Vincent de Paul Society is underpinned by a spirituality inspired by our patron St Vincent de Paul and Founder Blessed Frederick Ozanam.

We endeavour to see the face of Christ in every person we assist. Being a Vincentian allows our members to live out their faith in action, gathering for regular conference meetings to organise and report on the works they do, to pray, to reflect and to help one another in their journey of faith.

There are now five St Vincent de Paul Conferences and two Vinnies charity shops within our parish. Over 90 members and associate members, along with 95 shop volunteers, respond to the needs of people experiencing difficulties. Central to the work of the Society has been the support and involvement of the members from our parish communities.
