Meet Jill Cunningham
How long have you been a parishioner?
I’ve been a parishioner at OLR for more than 32 years, we originally use to attend mass in the Kawana Hall.
Where is your place of worship?
The 5.00pm Vigil Mass at Our Lady of the Rosary at Caloundra, and occasionally Kawana.
What is your favourite prayer/devotion?
I have a few prayers which I love, including the Rosary, Mass, Adoration and sometimes I pray aspirational and encouraging scripture as they pop in to my head!
How do you like to live out your faith?
I start with prayer in the morning, and I try to be compassionate and aware of other people’s needs.
What is your experience of God’s love?
I know God loves me and I have a deep sense of that. We often come to know of God’s love through hardship of some experience we probably didn’t want in our lives.
What do you most enjoy about being a part of the parish community?
The friendship and hospitality. I get a lot of nourishment, support, acceptance and friendship from the Ladies Women’s Group.
Faithful Servants is a regular feature of the ever-present ‘servants of the faith’ across our local parish community.
Thank you for all your nominations throughout 2023.
This initiative has worked towards facilitating one of our strategic plan’s objective to create intentional ways for parishioners to get to know one another. Our parishioners, and all volunteers, work tirelessly to ensure our community remains vibrant and connected and actively accompanies people to encounter Jesus.
