“We have a dream that our Children and Families Ministry will provide opportunities to connect, create and cultivate relationships with all children and their families. This ministry will seek to develop a culture from within the parish community, so that everyone feels they belong, However messy, noisy and lively.”

Since the launch of our parish strategic plan the teams which fall under the Children and Families ministry have been on the go! Each Sunday during school term Our Children’s Liturgy Team offer the primary school children of the parish a breakdown of the Sundays gospel reading in manner which is easy for them to understand using short videos, discussion, prayer and activities, with the children returning back into the church in time for the offertory.

The Sacramental Team have completed the Sacraments of Confirmation, Reconciliation and First communion for the 2023 year, many thanks to the other Ministries & members of the Parish who helped in making these Children & their families feel welcome, by greeting, praying for, and organising morning teas, decorating the church, providing music. A big shout out goes to members of the Youth and Young Adults team who have helped our ministry so far this year in assisting us with providing activities for a Kids fun hour which was held during our Confirmation program, helping with The Children’s Encounter Day held earlier in the year and assisting on our Children’s Liturgy team.
