Hearing His Voice: Unlocking the Bible Together
Over 70 parishioners gathered across our two recent “Intro to the Bible” sessions, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere of learning and discovery. With thoughtful questions, lively discussion, and a shared spirit of curiosity, it was clear that many walked away not only better informed, but eager for more.
In response, we’re delighted to announce a new monthly Thursday afternoon series: “Unlocking the Bible.” These sessions are designed to help people grow in confidence with Scripture and, more deeply, to learn how to listen for the voice of Jesus – the Word of God made flesh – speaking into our lives today.
Whether you’re new to the Bible or looking to go further, all are warmly invited to come along and be part of this journey of faith, learning, and encounter. Details about dates and times will follow shortly.

We are looking for a volunteer photographer to help capture an upcoming parish event. This is a great way to serve the community by helping us share the life of our parish. If you have a passion for photography and are available to assist, we would love to hear from you. Please contact the parish office if you are interested.

Open House Event – Divine Renovation
Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Caloundra, invites parish leaders and members of parish communities to join us for a one-day gathering called Open House.
Open House is a chance for us to open the doors of our parish and share some of our journey of renewal. Shaped by our partnership with Divine Renovation Ministry, the day is less about presentations and more about hospitality—making space to connect, share what we’ve been learning, and hear from others. There will be opportunities throughout the day to hear stories, explore key ideas around parish renewal, and take part in conversations that spark new thinking and encouragement. The aim is to create a space where people can speak openly, ask questions, and learn from one another.
The event takes place on Saturday 6th June from 9:15am – 4:15pm with an optional 5pm mass at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, Caloundra.
This event is proudly sponsored by Holy Cross Funerals.

Ignite Conference
We want to invite you to consider joining our parish adult delegation to Ignite Conference 2026. This is an opportunity for encounter and discovery.
Ignite Conference is a vibrant, faith‑filled gathering in Brisbane from 24–27 September. The conference brings together people of all ages from across Australia who are passionate about growing the Church and encountering Jesus in a fresh way.
While Ignite has long impacted our young people, it offered a rich and inspiring experience for the adults that joined us last year. The Conference offers engaging speakers and workshops, worship, dynamic celebration of the sacraments and community with Catholics from across the nation. Please contact the office if you would like to find out more details regarding costs, accommodation and registration.
New Parish Security & Access System
We are introducing a new keyless access system for Our Lady of the Rosary Church and Parish Centre, alongside the installation of a CCTV system. These upgrades are important steps in strengthening our commitment to safeguarding people, property, and parish life.
At present, our key system is largely unregulated – with no control over copies of keys. The new system will allow us to maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of those accessing our buildings, ensuring greater accountability. This is particularly important as we look to the future, with both priests soon to be living off-site, making enhanced security measures essential.
The addition of CCTV will further support a safe environment for all who use our facilities, acting as both a deterrent and a means of protection.
If you currently have access to the church or parish centre – whether through a key or the lock box – and will require ongoing access, please contact Vicki at the parish office via email – all existing keys will no longer provide access. This will help us ensure a smooth transition to the new system and that appropriate access is maintained. Thank you for your cooperation and support in this important initiative.
St Vincent de Paul – May Initiatives
As the cooler weather approaches, the St Vincent de Paul Society invites our parish community to support the Annual Winter Appeal this weekend.
Annual Winter Appeal (2–3 May)
The Winter Appeal assists local individuals and families who are struggling, with a focus this year on essential items like food and fuel. Your generosity helps meet these basic needs during a challenging time.
A Year of Yes Prayer
Today and every day I say Yes to you O Lord.
In the same way that Mary said yes to your invitation, I say Yes to your Son’s presence in my life.
May my yes, by the power of your Holy Spirit, allow you to use all the talents, skills and gifts you have given me for the purpose of building up Your Body in our community.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
