Emergency Evactuation Drills During Mass
Over the next month, our parish will be conducting emergency evacuation drills across Mass centres. These drills are a requirement of the Archdiocese and form part of our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all who worship and gather in our parish community.
The drills will be conducted at an appropriate time during Mass to ensure the sacredness and integrity of the liturgy are preserved as much as possible. Moving forward, these evacuation drills will become annual.
When a drill takes place, we ask all parishioners and visitors to follow the directions of Pastoral Leaders and parish volunteers promptly. It is important that the building is fully evacuated and that everyone proceeds to the designated assembly area. Please move with urgency, but always in a safe and orderly manner.
These drills form part of our Emergency Response Plan and Workplace Health and Safety obligations. The evacuation process, participation levels, time it takes to fully evacuate, and outcomes of each drill must be documented and reviewed to ensure we continue to meet required safety standards and improve our preparedness in the event of a real emergency.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. By participating fully in these drills, you help ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our parish community.

A Year of Yes Prayer
Today and every day I say Yes to you O Lord.
In the same way that Mary said yes to your invitation, I say Yes to your Son’s presence in my life.
May my yes, by the power of your Holy Spirit, allow you to use all the talents, skills and gifts you have given me for the purpose of building up Your Body in our community.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
