 Men Alive MAX 2026 Conference

This is Good News for all men and women in our parish. After 22 years touring Australia and NZ, menALIVE to the MAX returns to QLD for a limited time.

Very soon, MAX26 will be on the Sunshine Coast for the first time and the theme is Oceans. This is a weekend faith experience for men. Some call it a Gathering, others call it a modern Retreat, but all call it a memorable experience.

MAX is a weekend for men who desire to strengthen their relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in authentic Christian brotherhood. Through prayer, worship, conversation and shared experience, men are encouraged to reflect on where God is calling them and how they can respond.

You can stay on site, or you can come in the day and sleep in your own bed. The choice is yours, and there are multiple choices of workshops.

Many women want this experience for their men/sons’/ nephews’/uncles and pray for the men. Men, be curious. Come along. Bring someone/s too. This is a ticketed event so register now by clicking HERE

First Holy Communion Registrations

If your child is in Grade 4-6 and has already completed the Sacrament of Confirmation, you are invited to register them for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.

For those families who had signed up for confirmation this year and your child is in year 4 and above, please email the parish office that you would like your child to continue their sacrament, you DO NOT need to register again.

The 2026 Sacramental Program (FHC) will launch on Tuesday night 14th July 5-6pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Sacrament of FHC will be the weekend of the 22/23 August 2026. Please register HERE

Ladies Lunch

All ladies of the parish are invited to join us for our next Ladies Lunch on Friday 10 July at 12:00pm at Club Kawana, 476 Nicklin Way, Wurtulla. It is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a meal together, catch up with old friends, and meet new people within our parish community. If you would like to attend, please contact Linda on 0429 380 979 by Monday 6 July.

Ignite Conference Adults

Inspired by the stories you’ve just read on our front page reflections? Ignite isn’t just for the youth! Adults are also invited to join our parish delegation to Ignite Conference in Brisbane.

Ignite is a weekend of inspiring talks, worship, the sacraments, and fellowship with Catholics from across Australia. Many adults who attended with our parish last year are excited to return, and we hope you’ll consider joining too. If you’d like to find out more, please contact the parish office.

RCIA

RCIA is for adults interested in becoming Catholic, receiving the Sacraments, or learning more about the Catholic faith. The next RCIA journey begins in September. Those considering RCIA are encouraged to attend Alpha, which begins on 18 July (see below).

To express your interest in RCIA, please contact the Parish and fill out the enrolment form HERE

World Day for Grandparents & Elderly

On the weekend of 25–26 July, our parish will celebrate the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly at all Masses. Established by Pope Francis in 2021, this day recognises the important role that grandparents and older members of our community play in passing on the faith through their love, wisdom, prayer, and example.

This year’s theme, “I will never forget you” (Isaiah 49:15), reminds us of God’s enduring love and invites us to give thanks for the gift of our grandparents and elderly parishioners. We also hope to mark the occasion by gathering together as a parish community following Mass.

A Year of Yes Prayer

Today and every day I say Yes to you O Lord.
In the same way that Mary said yes to your invitation, I say Yes to your Son’s presence in my life.
May my yes, by the power of your Holy Spirit, allow you to use all the talents, skills and gifts you have given me for the purpose of building up Your Body in our community.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
