Mini Mission 2025!

It is important to make time to reflect on our lives and the direction life is taking us. To help us this year, we welcome back Fr Richard Leonard, who will lead our Parish Mini Mission over 3 days from the 10-12th March daily from 10am at Caloundra, with a cuppa from 9.30am sponsored by Holy Cross Funerals. Fr Richard will also lead a Mini Mission in the evenings at Stella Maris Parish, Maroochydore from 5pm on the same days.

Don’t let this Lenten opportunity slip by!

Ash Wednesday & Lent 2025

Wednesday 5th March is Ash Wednesday, the first day of the season of Lent. Please check out the Parish Diary for mass times on this day.

LITTLE BLACK BOOKS: Are FREE and at each Mass centres, which contain short and appropriate daily reflections which are a tremendous companion throughout the days of Lent.

RECONCILIATION: Forgiveness should be part of everyone’s Lenten journey. God’s mercy is unconditional! The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered every Saturday at OLR church from 9am. Our Communal Rite of Reconciliation takes place at 9am on 12th March.

PROJECT COMPASSION: A practical and life giving aspect of Lent has always been our ability to financially support, and sacrifice for those who are not so fortunate through Project Compassion Appeal. Indeed, Project Compassion is something that all individuals and families can be involved in. Envelopes are available at the entrance to each church. It is one envelope for the duration of Lent.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS: We will have Stations of the Cross during Lent at OLR & Beerwah – each Friday during Lent after the 9am morning Masses.

LENTEN PROGRAMME: This year the Lenten Programme is entitled, “Metanoia”. We have some books here for anyone who would like a book to reflect on.

A Year of Engagement

Lord God, I say yes to your will for me:

To live out my baptism in obedience to you.

As a member of our parish,

I commit myself to your mission of invitation:

To be vibrant like your Son, to extend myself in charity,

and to actively accompany people to encounter Jesus.

Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen

On the Journey
