Ignite Conference Brisbane
Last weekend, a group of adults and youth from our parish attended Ignite Conference Brisbane! These four days were filled with vibrant rallies, powerful worship, engaging workshops and incredible opportunities to connect with people on fire in their faith!
Please continue to pray for all those who attended – that the Holy Spirit continues to move in their hearts and fuels them to be disciples who actively accompany others to encounter Jesus!
Our Lady of the Rosary Feast Day – October 7th
Did you know that the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary was once called the Feast of Our Lady of Victory? This powerful title commemorates the miraculous victory at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571, when Christian forces triumphed against overwhelming odds. Pope St. Pius V credited this triumph to the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, through a united campaign of praying the Rosary across Europe.
In response to the threat of invasion, Pope Pius V didn’t just rally soldiers—he called upon every man, woman, and child to take up the Rosary. This devotion, which leads us through the life of Christ with the eyes and heart of Mary, remains at the centre of this beautiful feast.
We warmly invite you to celebrate this special occasion with us at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish during all six of our Weekend Masses on Saturday, October 4, and Sunday, October 5. The Rosary will be prayed together before each Mass, and afterwards, we’ll gather for hospitality—including cake!
Let’s come together in prayer, remembrance, and joyful community. Bring your family, invite your friends, and join us for a weekend of faith and celebration!
Annual Public Rosary 2025
The Annual Public Rosary will be held on Saturday 11th October at 10am in the carpark of the Sacred Heart Church in Maleny.
Please join us in praying for God’s merciful blessing to be poured out on our country and for conversion of our families back to God.
We will also pray for our world and the many countries that are in conflict. We pray for the return of peace and harmony particularly in the Middle East, in Eastern Europe and in those African countries suffering internal conflicts.
Alpha On-line – It’s Alpha but not as we know it!
Starting on the 14th of October the parish will be offering a new Alpha course online. If you are unable to leave home in the evening, can’t possibly convince someone to mind your kids for 10 weeks or would prefer the convenience of something in your own home, then this on-line option is for you.

October OLR Seniors’ Outing – Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden
Join us for our next Seniors’ Outing on Thursday, 16 October at the beautiful Maroochy Bushland Botanic Garden.
Arrive: 9:30am. Meet at The Compass Garden Café
Start: 10:00am – enjoy a 1-hour guided walk with a tour guide
Afterwards: Tea & coffee – please bring a plate to share
Remember to bring a hat, water, and comfortable walking shoes for the walk. A wonderful chance to enjoy nature, fellowship, and community together!

Rite of Christian Initiation of Teenagers (RCIT)
We are delighted to announce that the Rite of Christian Initiation of Teenagers (RCIT) will commence on Friday, 10 October at Unity College Chapel.
This program is designed for High school aged teenagers who are seeking to complete their Sacraments of Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion—and journey more deeply into the Catholic faith.
The program will run over six Friday afternoon sessions from 4:00–5:00pm, providing a space for prayer, learning, and sharing faith together.
The journey will conclude on Sunday, 23 November at 5:00pm at Unity College, with the celebration of Mass and the conferral of the Sacraments.

Ladies Lunch
The next Ladies Lunch will be on Friday 17th October 12 noon at Harry’s Beach Bistro 36 Esplanade Headland Kings Beach. All ladies are welcome to attend. This is a great way to meet other ladies and make new friends. Please contact Deborah 0410531901 by Monday 13th to register your attendance!
