Celebrating Our Amazing Youth Leaders!

As we approach the end of another vibrant and faith-filled year, we extend our heartfelt congratulations and gratitude to all our wonderful youth leaders. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and compassion have made an extraordinary difference in the lives of the young people in our parish. Thank you for every hour volunteered, every event planned, and every moment spent guiding and uplifting our youth.

On Thursday, 4th December, several of our leaders attended the Youth Leaders Dinner hosted by the Archdiocese of Brisbane. It was a beautiful evening celebrating the commitment and spirit of youth ministry across the region.

We are especially excited to extend a huge congratulations to our Youth Minister, Christyna, who received the Newcomer Award! In her very first year serving in the Youth Minister role here in our Parish, Christyna has brought fresh energy, warmth, and initiative that have already had a profound impact. This award is a well-deserved recognition of the passion and dedication she carries into her ministry every day.

Well done, Christyna and well done to all our incredible youth leaders. Your work is a blessing to our parish, and we are deeply proud of everything you have achieved this year. Here’s to the journey ahead and to the continued growth of our youth and young adult community!

Christmas Day Lunch Invitation

This Christmas, we warmly invite anyone who will be on their own and would enjoy sharing a meal with others to join us for a sumptuous Christmas lunch at 11 am, following the 9.30 am OLR Mass. If you already have plans for Christmas Day, perhaps you know a neighbour, friend, or fellow parishioner who would appreciate this invitation. Please feel free to pass it on. Lunch will take place in the covered area beside the church. There’s no need to bring anything—just come and celebrate Christmas with others.

For catering purposes, please RSVP by Sunday 21st December by speaking with Dominic or Therese Pecora after the 9.30am OLR Mass, or call them on 0425 794 608.

Let us come together as a parish family and share the joy and warmth of Christmas.

Advent Second Rite of Reconciliation

As we prepare our hearts during the Advent season, you are invited to participate in the Second Rite of Reconciliation, a communal celebration that includes Scripture, prayer, and a shared examination of conscience, followed by individual confession and absolution.

Celebration Times:

OLR, Caloundra: December 20th at 9:00am

Stella Maris, Maroochydore: December 22nd at 5:00pm

All are welcome as we prepare for the coming of Christ with hearts renewed and reconciled.

Parish Notice – Maleny

Please note that our Tuesday morning Adoration and Rosary in Maleny is now in remission and will resume on Tuesday, 13th January. We also advise that the Friday afternoon Stations of the Cross and Adoration are in remission until February. We thank all parishioners for their understanding and look forward to gathering again in prayer when these devotions recommence.

Seniors’ Group Christmas Carols Sing-a-long – 23 December

Join us for a festive morning on Tuesday, 23rd December.

We begin with morning tea after the 9:00am Mass in the undercover area—a lovely chance to gather and enjoy some fellowship.

Following this, the Seniors’ Group Christmas Carols Sing-a-long will take place at 10:00am in the Caloundra Church. Steve and the wonderful 7:30am choir will lead the singing, and there will even be a special surprise guest appearance.

All are warmly invited to come along and share in the joy of the season.

A Year of Engagement

Lord God, I say yes to your will for me:

To live out my baptism in obedience to you.

As a member of our parish,

I commit myself to your mission of invitation:

To be vibrant like your Son, to extend myself in charity,

and to actively accompany people to encounter Jesus.

Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.

On the Journey

May they Rest in Peace.
