World Day for Grandparents & Elderly

On 25-26th July, the Church celebrates the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, established by Pope Francis in 2021 and celebrated each year near the Feast of Saints Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus.

This year’s theme, “I will never forget you” (Isaiah 49:15), reminds us to give thanks for the love, wisdom, faith, and example of our grandparents and elderly parishioners. It also encourages us to reach out to those who may be lonely or isolated, recognising the important place they hold in the life of the Church.

If you’re able, consider inviting your grandparents or an elderly family member, friend, or neighbour to join you for Mass that weekend. We’ll also gather for tea and coffee afterwards, a simple opportunity to spend time together and ensure that no one celebrates the day alone.

It All Starts Next Week – FHC

The 2026 Sacramental Program, First Holy Communion (FHC) will launch this Tuesday night 14th July 5-6pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Church Caloundra. We are also offering the Sacramental program at Our Lady of the Way, Landsborough each Thursday starting the 16th July 5-6pm in the Ron Hickey Center, Landsborough. The sacrament of FHC will be the weekend of the 22/23 August 2026.

If your child is in Grade 4-6 and has already completed the Sacrament of Confirmation, please register by clicking HERE. Any questions please email Vicki in the Parish office: caloundra@bne.catholic.net.au

Ladies Morning Tea at Landsborough

All ladies of the parish are invited to join the Landsborough ladies for a coffee and chat on Monday, 13 July, at 9:30am in the Ron Hickey Centre. It’s a great chance to catch up, meet new people, and spend some time together. We’d love to see you there.

 Men Alive MAX 2026 Conference

After 22 years of inspiring men across Australia and New Zealand, menALIVE MAX is coming to the Sunshine Coast for the first time.

Join men from across the country for a memorable weekend of faith, friendship and renewal as we explore the theme OCEANS. Whether you’re looking to reconnect with God, strengthen your faith, or simply take time away from the busyness of life, MAX2026 offers an experience that will encourage and inspire.

Choose to stay on site for the full weekend or attend during the day and return home each evening. A range of practical and engaging workshops allows you to tailor the weekend to your own interests.

If you’re a wife, mother, sister or friend, why not encourage the men in your life to come? If you’re a man, consider inviting a son, brother, mate or parishioner to share the journey with you.

This is a ticketed event so register now by clicking HERE

Friday 7 – Sunday 9 August 2026 | Luther Heights, Sunshine Coast

Registrations close 23 July 2026.

A Year of Yes Prayer

Today and every day I say Yes to you O Lord.
In the same way that Mary said yes to your invitation, I say Yes to your Son’s presence in my life.
May my yes, by the power of your Holy Spirit, allow you to use all the talents, skills and gifts you have given me for the purpose of building up Your Body in our community.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
