Annual Catholic Campaign

This weekend, 29–30th August, our parish is taking part in the Annual Catholic Campaign, supporting the important work of the Archdiocese of Brisbane and helping bring Christ’s hope, compassion and practical support to people in need.

Funds raised through the Campaign help support:

  • Centacare ministries, including hospital and prison chaplaincy and support for vulnerable people and families.
  • The Priests Foundation, caring for our retired, elderly and unwell priests.
  • Holy Spirit Seminary, assisting in the formation of future priests.
  • The Mary MacKillop Brisbane Catholic School Access Fund, helping families experiencing financial hardship access a Catholic education.
  • The Annual Grants Program, supporting parish ministries, youth, faith formation and community outreach.

Campaign leaflets and envelopes are available at the pews in our Mass Centres. Please prayerfully consider how you may contribute. Completed envelopes can be returned at Mass, or you can donate through our Linktree HERE

Thank you for your generous support as we share in the Church’s mission of caring for others and making Christ’s love present to those most in need.

Anointing Masses

The Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing and strength for those experiencing illness, ill health or the effects of ageing. Through anointing with the Oil of the Sick, we are strengthened by Christ’s grace and the prayerful support of the Church community. Those who are unwell, experiencing serious illness or suffering from bad health are invited to receive the sacrament. Family and friends are also welcome to attend and offer their support.

Our parish will celebrate two Anointing Masses in September:
Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Caloundra on Thursday 10 September at 9:00am
Sacred Heart Church, Maleny on Sunday 13 September at 9:00am

Ladies Lunch

Our September Ladies Lunch will be held on Friday 11th September at 12 noon, at Dicky Beach Surf Club, 1A Coochin Street, Dicky Beach.

All ladies are welcome to come along and enjoy lunch together. If you would like to attend, please contact Linda on 0429 380 979.

We hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you there!

Seniors Event September

Join us at Stella Maris Church, Maroochydore on Friday, 4th September for a special morning with Fr Gerard, who recently visited Medjugorje. Fr Gerard will share about his experience of visiting this place of pilgrimage, followed by an opportunity for discussion.

9:00am – Morning Mass (First Friday Anointing Mass)
10:00am – Morning Tea, sponsored by Holy Cross
10:30am – Medjugorje Talk with Fr Gerard
11:15am – Talk concludes, followed by Q&A
11:30am – Pack up and farewell

All are welcome to join us for this morning of fellowship, prayer and reflection. Registration is required. Please register HERE or email the parish office at caloundra@bne.catholic.net.au.

Volunteers Required

Our parish relies on the generosity of volunteers in many different ministries and areas. At this time, we would especially appreciate help in the Parish Office Reception.

We require someone to help welcome visitors, answer phone calls, and assist with reception duties. Training is provided. If you are available from 9:00am–12:00 noon Monday to Friday, and are interested in this role, please directly contact the parish office at caloundra@bne.catholic.net.au

We also welcome volunteers in the many other areas. To register to volunteer in other areas and ministries within the parish, please click HERE

A Year of Yes Prayer

Today and every day I say Yes to you O Lord.
In the same way that Mary said yes to your invitation, I say Yes to your Son’s presence in my life.
May my yes, by the power of your Holy Spirit, allow you to use all the talents, skills and gifts you have given me for the purpose of building up Your Body in our community.
We make this prayer through Christ our Lord. Amen.
