Youth & Young Adults – Ignite Conference Recap

“My experience over the last 4 days at Ignite has been nothing short of incredible. I deepened my faith in Christ, made new friends and had a whole lot of fun doing it. The rallies were incredible, I enjoyed moshing out in the mosh pit, dancing and having a great time. Keynotes were a great opportunity to connect with other people and talk about your experience at Ignite, the workshops also explained different topics of our faith with clarity. My favourite part of all was Mass and Adoration, Mass was incredible, with the Archbishop celebrating the Friday one, it was a time when Jesus became present to all of us, calling and reminding us to give our life to him. Adoration was filled with the Holy Spirit, a lot of us were moved by Jesus’ presence in the Eucharist, it was a time to reflect and ask for the Lord to change our life. I enjoyed Ignite so much, and I can’t wait to go there next year.” – Tom, Year 7, 1st time at Ignite Conference

“Ascend. That was the theme for Ignite 2026, and what a fitting theme it was. Not only for myself, but for the children of kingdom youth as well. Over the last 6-12 months, I had felt as if I had lost almost everything that I knew and found comfortable. Steve got in touch with me through Christyna (my sister) and asked if I wanted to be a youth leader and accompany Kingdom to the Ignite conference. Although nervous, uncertain, and definitely feeling undeserving, I said yes, and it was the best decision I made. Feeling like I was at rock bottom after losing what I felt was everything, the only way to go was up. Was to Ascend. And although I was asked to accompany the children, in hindsight, I believe the children of kingdom youth were there to accompany me.

To describe the conference in two words, those words would be, filling and blessed! I witnessed children hang round each other, pray together, encourage and support each other, and offer it all up to Jesus. Leaving their pain, their tears, their feelings of feeling like they don’t belong. Leaving it all at the foot of the cross! I am forever grateful for this opportunity, for the children, and for our wonderful community who shower us with their continuous love and support. May God bless and keep you always.” Giovanni–Paolo, Young Adult, 2nd time at Ignite Conference

Both of these testimonies are a small glimpse into how amazing Ignite was. Kingdom Youth and Holy Family felt the love of God, not just through all that Ignite had to offer, but also in the prayers in the morning, the lunchtimes together and even chatting away driving to and from Ignite. Thank you to everyone who supported us financially, through prayers or volunteering their time and effort throughout that weekend. All Glory to God!

Give me 2x claps and a Jesus. JESUS!
