The Children & Families ministry continues to create opportunities for children and families to connect with our parish community and grow in faith together.

It was wonderful to get to know so many children and families throughout the recent sacramental program and to share in their faith journey. Two weeks ago, we celebrated First Holy Communion, marking a special milestone as the children received Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time. It was a beautiful celebration and a joy to see families gathered together and supported by the wider parish community.

Throughout the school term, we also provide weekly Children’s Liturgy, giving our younger parishioners an opportunity to explore the Gospel in an engaging and age-appropriate way. We also enjoy celebrating combined school and parish Masses. Most recently, we joined with Our Lady of the Rosary School for a beautiful 5pm Saturday Mass, where it was wonderful to see so many of our school children actively involved and taking on special roles throughout the celebration.

Looking ahead, we would love to offer more school holiday workshops and family fun days, creating opportunities for children and families to connect, grow in faith and enjoy time together as a parish community. To make these activities possible, we need more parishioners to volunteer and share their time, gifts and enthusiasm. The Children & Families ministry is currently being supported by Julie and Nadine, and we warmly welcome anyone who feels called to become involved. There are many ways to help, and even a small contribution can make a meaningful difference to the faith life of our children and families.
