Praying for Our Departed Loved Ones – November Masses
During the month of November, the Church invites us to especially pray for the souls of the faithful departed—our loved ones who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith.
If you would like a Mass offered for someone who has died, November Mass envelopes are available at each of our Mass centres. Simply write the name(s) of your loved one(s) on the envelope and include an offering. These can be placed in the collection at Mass or handed in to the parish office.
All Mass Centres will also have a memorial book, if you wish to write down the name of a loved one that has passed.
May our prayers this month bring comfort, hope, and the peace of Christ to all who mourn.
Listen kindly to our prayers, O Lord, and, as our faith in your Son, raised from the dead, is deepened, so may our hope of resurrection for your departed servants also find new strength. (Collect 1)
St Vincent De Paul Annual Christmas Appeal – 15/16 November
Next weekend marks our annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal across our parish. Envelopes will be available on the pews and may be placed in the collection baskets. If you prefer, you are welcome to take an envelope home and return it at a later Mass.
Throughout the year, our local Vinnies conferences provide vital assistance—food, support, and care—to families experiencing hardship. This Christmas Appeal helps fund Christmas Hampers, bringing a little extra hope, comfort, and joy to those who need it most during this special season.
Your generosity makes a real difference in the lives of others. Thank you for your ongoing support and compassion.

COP30 – the 30th annual Conference of the Parties to the United Nations.
We Catholics have a unique role — and a sacred duty — to raise our voices for creation and the most vulnerable among us as Pope Leo asked in his Encyclical, Dilexi Te, 4th October this year.
We are called to pray, educate, and advocate for action at COP30 that world leaders work together, through the decisions taken, to protect our planet and all life on it.
Taking place in the Amazon Rainforest, 9th -21st November, this annual United Nations climate summit is more than a political gathering; it is a moment of moral and spiritual conversion, echoing the call of Laudato Si’ to hear both “the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.” Pope Francis — and now Pope Leo XIV — remind us that everything is interconnected.
Catholic bishops from Africa, Asia, and Latin America called for urgent climate justice. As Catholics, we draw from our Social Teaching — upholding the dignity of every person, the common good, and our preferential option for the poor. These values compel us not to treat climate change as an issue “for someone else,” but as a moral crisis that impacts all, especially the “least” among us.

A Year of Engagement
Lord God, I say yes to your will for me:
To live out my baptism in obedience to you.
As a member of our parish,
I commit myself to your mission of invitation:
To be vibrant like your Son, to extend myself in charity,
and to actively accompany people to encounter Jesus.
Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
On the Journey
We congratulate Isabella Bassos, Amarli, Sienna & Emilia Sanders, Ivy Kenna, Jasmyn, Elyse & Claire Figueredo who will be baptised at OLR this weekend.
We pray for the souls of our deceased priests, religious and parishioners.
May they Rest in Peace.
