Rosies Outreach Gathering
Last Friday evening, our Parish Community Outreach team brought a touch of Christmas joy to those attending the Rosies Outreach gathering. In addition to the regular Friday night BBQ provided by the parish, our Filipino choir offered a beautiful selection of uplifting Christmas carols, filling the park with beautiful music that drew people and families in from the street to share in the festivities. We were delighted to have both Fr Josh and Fr Gerard on hand, generously helping to serve dinner and spend time with patrons.
We were also blessed by the kindness of a parishioner who generously donated $1,000 towards grocery gift vouchers. These were distributed to patrons together with Christmas cards and chocolates—small gestures from the parish to help make their Christmas a little warmer and brighter. 🧑🎄🎄🎁
A huge thank you to all the volunteers who have supported this initiative and our other Outreach activities with Share-a-Meal and our Community Cooking over the past months, giving their time and energy to care for those in our community. And a special thank you to the choir, who helped make this Christmas event feel just that little bit ‘spesh’. If you are interested in volunteering with the team or sponsoring one of our Outreaches, please contact cp*******************@**************et.au. Christmas Day Lunch Invitation
This Christmas, we warmly invite anyone who will be on their own and would enjoy sharing a meal with others to join us for a sumptuous Christmas lunch at 11 am, following the 9.30 am OLR Mass. If you already have plans for Christmas Day, perhaps you know a neighbour, friend, or fellow parishioner who would appreciate this invitation. Please feel free to pass it on. Lunch will take place in the covered area beside the church. There’s no need to bring anything—just come and celebrate Christmas with others.
For catering purposes, please RSVP by Sunday 21st December by speaking with Dominic or Therese Pecora after the 9.30am OLR Mass, or call them on 0425 794 608.
Let us come together as a parish family and share the joy and warmth of Christmas.
Parish Notice – Maleny
Please note that our Tuesday morning Adoration and Rosary in Maleny is now in remission and will resume on Tuesday, 13th January. We also advise that the Friday afternoon Stations of the Cross and Adoration are in remission until February. We thank all parishioners for their understanding and look forward to gathering again in prayer when these devotions recommence.
Seniors’ Group Christmas Carols Sing-a-long – 23 December
Join us for a festive morning on Tuesday, 23rd December.
We begin with morning tea after the 9:00am Mass in the undercover area—a lovely chance to gather and enjoy some fellowship.
Following this, the Seniors’ Group Christmas Carols Sing-a-long will take place at 10:00am in the Caloundra Church. Steve and the wonderful 7:30am choir will lead the singing, and there will even be a special surprise guest appearance.
All are warmly invited to come along and share in the joy of the season.

A Year of Engagement
Lord God, I say yes to your will for me:
To live out my baptism in obedience to you.
As a member of our parish,
I commit myself to your mission of invitation:
To be vibrant like your Son, to extend myself in charity,
and to actively accompany people to encounter Jesus.
Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
On the Journey
We congratulate Kayce Hales who will be baptised at OLW Landsborough this weekend.
Funerals:
We pray for Carol West whose funeral will be 23rd December, 11am at Our Lady of the Rosary Church.
It has been requested that instead of flowers, you are invited to donate to the Adam Crosby Centre at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Attendees are also asked to wear bright colours.
We also pray for the souls of our deceased priests, religious and parishioners.
May they Rest in Peace.
