Sacred Heart Feast Day

A sausage sizzle and morning tea followed by a tree planting was held on Sunday to celebrate our feast day. After Mass we shared good food, great company and laughter with our friends from Landsborough and Beerwah. Father Josh planted a citrus tree. Maleny Catholic Ladies Group also hosted an Ecumenical Morning Tea for about fifty guests on Saturday. The guest speaker was Carolyn from Rosie’s whose talk was very engaging. Approx. $800 raised was donated to Rosie’s and the local school chaplaincy. Two very enjoyable mornings and thank you to all helpers.

Dementia Awareness – Beerwah

Last Friday at Beerwah, Mass was celebrated with Bishop Foley, followed by the amazing “understanding Dementia” presentation by Leah Keating, Dementia Doula.  We had quite a crowd and the feedback has been positive.  Thanks to Holy Cross Funerals who sponsored the morning and put on a beautiful morning tea which was from the Reposium Café at Beerwah.

A Year of Engagement

Lord God, I say yes to your will for me:

To live out my baptism in obedience to you.

As a member of our parish,

I commit myself to your mission of invitation:

To be vibrant like your Son, to extend myself in charity,

and to actively accompany people to encounter Jesus.

Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen

On the Journey

We pray the souls of our deceased priests, religious and parishioners –

Rest In Peace.
