First Holy Communion Registrations close 17th July!

Only a week to go to get your registration form in and up to date! If your child is in Grade 4-6 and has already completed the Sacrament of Confirmation, you are invited to register them for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion.

(For those families who had signed up for confirmation this year and your child is in year 4 and above please email the parish office that you would like your child to continue their sacrament, you don’t need to register again).

The 2025 Sacramental Program (FHC) will launch on Tuesday night 22nd July 5-6pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Please register through the website by scanning the QR code.  (If you haven’t already done so you will need to join Flocknote first).

Family Fun Day – 5th July!

Last weekend, our parish’s Children & Families Ministry Leadership Team (MLT) hosted a fun day in the sunshine at Kings Beach Amphitheatre. Over 60 people gathered for fun, food and games – including children, parents and grandparents. Events such as these are becoming increasingly important in our parish journey – especially in light of Pope Leo’s recent encouragement to “Become Fishers of Families” (June 2, 2025). Congratulations to the Children & Families MLT for your initiative.

Kingdom Kids Youth Group – 15th July

Our next Kingdom Kids Youth Group will be held Tuesday 15th July at Unity College Hall from 4-5:30pm!

This Youth group is aimed at children in Grade 4-6. These evenings are opportunities to hang out and explore the faith in an accessible way, participate in games and activities, engage with input that helps build understanding of who Jesus is in their lives, and build friendships with likeminded kids in the parish.

If you would like to register your child, please click HERE for the registration form! Any other questions, please contact Amelia – wi******@**************et.au

Ladies Lunch

The next Ladies Lunch will be on Friday 18th July at 12 noon at The Caloundra Powerboat Club 2 Lamerough Parade Golden Beach. All ladies from the whole Parish are welcome to attend. Because the venue will need numbers, please RSVP to Deborah 0410531901 by Monday 14th July.

St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal—envelopes at each Mass

Our annual Winter Appeal is next weekend 19\20 July. While you would be aware Vinnies assist those in need with emergency accommodation, food and clothing we also make it a priority to support the educational needs of children in families who may be struggling financially. Heartbreaking when we hear of students unable to go to school because they did not have any food for their lunch. Or when a child has only one uniform and sometimes, if the single uniform has to be washed it can not be dried in time, so the child goes to school wearing a damp uniform. Missing school camps or sporting events due to lack of funds also has a very negative and long lasting effect on   students. The cost of educating a child, even at a local State School, is surprisingly expensive. To set up a child for year seven at a local High School can be well over $1500 with uniforms, levies, Year 7 camp in first term, booklist and a BYOD (a laptop which meets the set school requirements). Thank you for your support in assisting parents meet the educational needs of their children. Jesus also had a special love for children.

Volunteer Role: Worship Ministry Leader

Are you passionate about worship and eager to lead others in encountering Jesus through liturgy? Our Parish is seeking a volunteer Worship Ministry Leader to help animate and coordinate the liturgical life of our multi-site parish. Guided by our mission “to be a vibrant community that actively accompanies people to encounter Jesus,” this role invites someone with leadership gifts and a heart for worship to lead a small existing team of volunteers. If you’re ready to make a meaningful contribution to our parish’s spiritual renewal, please contact Fr Josh through the parish office to learn more.

Invitation to Prayer Team Information & Training

Have you felt stirred to go deeper in your faith to accompany others to encounter Jesus more personally? Our parish is beginning a new prayer ministry after each weekend Mass — and so we are inviting expressions of interest. Prayer teams are simply two people who offer to pray with others for their needs, trusting Jesus’ promise: “Where two or more are gathered, I am there.” If you are open to being trained in this simple yet powerful ministry, please join us for an initial Prayer Team information and training session at

10.30am in the OLR Egan Room on Saturday, 2nd August.

We look forward to seeing you there – Beth and Fr Josh

Biggest Morning Tea

The craft group is hosting a morning tea for The Cancer Council on Monday 21st of July in the Parish Centre.
All parishioners are welcome. No need to RSVP but if you would like more information you could contact Rosemary 0438812693.
Please bring a small donation which will go to the Cancer Council.

Date Claimer – Saturday 23rd August

Parish Summit Day – Vision, Mission, and Strategy

We last came together in December 2022 to share our hopes and dreams for the parish’s Five-Year Strategic Plan. On Saturday 23rd August, from 8:30am to 3:30pm, we will gather once again for a Parish Summit Day — a key moment for reflecting on our progress and renewing our shared mission.

This time, we’ll focus on three essential areas of growth in our Christian journey:

Keeping Christ at the centre of our lives

Deepening our identity as disciples

Equipping ourselves to actively accompany others to encounter Jesus

Please save the date in your diary. The venue will be confirmed based on numbers (whether we are above or below 100 participants), so we encourage you to register early. Registration details will be available in next weekend’s newsletter. I look forward to journeying together with you at this important event. Fr Josh

A Year of Engagement

Lord God, I say yes to your will for me:

To live out my baptism in obedience to you.

As a member of our parish,

I commit myself to your mission of invitation:

To be vibrant like your Son, to extend myself in charity,

and to actively accompany people to encounter Jesus.

Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen

On the Journey
