You’re Invited to Parish Summit Day – “Curiosity to Encounter”

Parish Summit Day

Saturday 23rd August | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Caloundra
Morning tea and lunch provided

You are warmly invited to our Parish Summit Day—a day for everyone in our parish to come together for renewal, reflection, and connection. This year’s theme, “Curiosity to Encounter”, invites us to move from faithful practice to personal transformation. We’ll explore how a flicker of curiosity can become a deep encounter with Christ. It’s a chance to reflect not only on what we do as Catholics, but on what God is doing in us—and how we might respond with joy and openness. The day will be filled with inspiring input, rich  conversation, shared prayer, and a renewed sense of where God is calling us as a parish community.

Whether you’re actively involved or simply seeking space to reconnect with your faith, this day is for you.

Come and be part of something life-giving. Come and be renewed. Register now by clicking HERE.

Adopt a Pet – Donations Welcome

As part of Book Week celebrations at Our Lady of the Rosary School, we will once again be holding our much-loved Adopt a Pet event on Wednesday 20th August. For a gold coin donation, students will have the opportunity to adopt a soft toy to take home and care for. All proceeds from this event will support our Story Dogs program, which helps foster a love of reading through regular, positive reading experiences with trained volunteer dogs.

We are currently seeking donations of soft toys to help make this event possible. If you have any soft toys at home that are no longer needed, we would be most grateful for your contribution. Donations can be dropped off at the OLR School Office during school hours (8am – 4pm).

Thank you for your continued support of our students and the programs that enrich their learning.

Kingdom Kids Youth Group

Our next Kingdom Kids Youth Group will be held Tuesday 2nd September at Unity College Hall from 4-5:30pm!

This Youth group is aimed at children in Grade 4-6. These evenings are opportunities to hang out and explore the faith in an accessible way, participate in games and activities, engage with input that helps build understanding of who Jesus is in their lives, and build friendships with likeminded kids in the parish.

If you would like to register your child, please click here for the registration form! Any other questions, please contact Amelia – wi******@**************et.au

A Year of Engagement

Lord God, I say yes to your will for me:

To live out my baptism in obedience to you.

As a member of our parish,

I commit myself to your mission of invitation:

To be vibrant like your Son, to extend myself in charity,

and to actively accompany people to encounter Jesus.

Who lives and reigns for ever and ever. Amen.
